Sensor Supply 1 Circuit - Power Generation Engin
Circuit Description
Sensor supply 1 of the engine control module (ECM) provides positive (+) 5-VDC for the engine oil rifle pressure 1 sensor on the engine harness. This 5-VDC supply also powers two original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices. The two devices are the remote accelerator pedal or lever position sensor and the OEM pressure sensor.
Component Location
The sensor supply 1 is located in the ECM. The supply voltage is spliced off in the engine and OEM harness to each sensor it supports.
Shop Talk
High voltage on the sensor wire can be caused by an individual sensor supply wire in the harness shorted to battery voltage or a damaged ECM power supply.
