Multiple Unit Synchronization Switch 1 Circuit - Industrial and M
Circuit Description
The primary engine outputs a throttle duty cycle signal on the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) actuator pulse width modulated (PWM) output supply pin. This signal is received by the secondary engine(s) and is used as the throttle input. To complete this circuit, a 5 volt supply is provided by the OEM and connected to the intermediate speed control/validate switch pin of the secondary engine(s).
Component Location
The pulse width modulated output supply is located in the engine harness 50-pin connector.
Shop Talk
The secondary engine(s) expect to see a duty cycle signal that varies between 3 and 97 percent. A signal less than 3 percent or greater than 97 percent will generate Fault Code 237 in the secondary engine(s).
Refer to Troubleshooting Fault Code t05-237.
