STEP 1. Check the fault codes.

Guided Step 1A - Determine if Fault Code 115 becomes active during cranking.

Conditions


  • Turn keyswitch ON.

  • Connect INSITEâ„¢ electronic service tool.


    Action


    Attempt to start the engine by engaging the starter for at least 10 seconds.


  • Use INSITEâ„¢ electronic service tool to read the fault codes.


Fault Code 115 becomes active during cranking?

YES

NO

No Repair

No Repair

Go to 1B

Go to 2A



Guided Step 1B - Inspect the engine harness.

Conditions


  • Turn keyswitch OFF.


    Action


    Inspect the engine harness connectors for correct connections.


  • Make sure the engine crankshaft speed/position sensor and engine camshaft speed/position sensor are connected to the engine wiring harness correctly.

NO

No Repair

         Guided Step 2 - Clear the fault codes     



Guided Step 2A - Disable the fault code.

Conditions


  • Connect all components.

  • Connect INSITEâ„¢ electronic service tool.

  • Turn keyswitch ON.


    Action


    Disable the fault code.


  • Use INSITEâ„¢ electronic service tool to verify Fault Code 115 is inactive.

YES

NO
