Circuit Description


The engine control module (ECM) uses the adaptive power limiter feature to detect when the engine is producing power greater than the appropriate engine rating.


Component Location


The ECM is located on the left bank side of the engine. Use the following procedure for a detailed component location view. Refer to Procedure 100-002 in Section E.


Shop Talk


This fault code is most often caused by overfueling. This can cause excessive exhaust temperatures, turbocharger speed, and boost pressures. The ECM will limit fueling to bring these readings back to normal range. Fault Code 3132 will log after excessive counts of Fault Code 327 have occurred.
