Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit - Marine En
Circuit Description
The engine fuel temperature 1 sensor is used by the engine control module (ECM) to monitor engine fuel supply temperature. The ECM monitors the voltage on the fuel supply temperature SIGNAL pin and converts this to a temperature value. The fuel supply temperature value is used by the ECM for the engine protection system.
Component Location
The engine fuel temperature 1 sensor is located above the second-stage filter head. Use the following procedure for a detailed component location view. Refer to Procedure 100-002 in Section E.

All Temperature Sensors
The resistance of the sensor varies with the temperature. If the sensor is operating properly, the observed reading will be comparable to the values in the following table.
Temperature (°C) | Temperature (°F) | Resistance (ohms) |
0 | 32 | 30k to 36k |
25 | 77 | 9k to 11k |
50 | 122 | 3k to 4k |
75 | 167 | 1350 to 1500 |
100 | 212 | 600 to 675 |
Refer to Troubleshooting Fault Code t05-261.
